What a wonderful summer we had, but sadly, all good things have to come to an end. As the crisp weather slowly approaches and the trees begin to change to shades of reds, oranges, and yellows… Parkway is ready to welcome in this Fall season. What better way to celebrate than enjoying gorgeous ambiances, high-quality ingredients, and great company in some of the area’s local hotspots. For this weeks Parkway Post Newsletter, we wanted to highlight “5” delicious food spots—chosen by our Parkway Agents— for you to treat yourself to this Fall season.
1. Camina Bakery
Camina is a local bakery here in Chico, that began as a collaboration between two bakers. The delicate treats at Camina embody the bakers shared passion and love for creating naturally-leavened breads and traditional croissants.
Camina uses organic grains and incorporates stone-milled flours when they can. Their commitment to the highest quality ingredients and attentive baking process creates unbelievable baked goods that are not just tasty but truly exceptional.
While Camina does not have a storefront, you can still find their treats all across Chico. Camina sells their products at various pop-ups like the Farmers Market, at restaurants or wineries like Stoble Coffee Roasters and Almendra Winery, or at local markets such as New Earth or Chico Natural Foods Co-op. Their Instagram account @caminabakery has all the details as to where their products are so that you can taste their dreamy baked-good creations.

2. The Hive Kitchen and Bar
Hello honey, this is THE bee and honey culinary destination in Northern California!
The Hive Kitchen and Bar, is owned and operated by Olivarez Honey Bees and built on a legacy of over 50 years of beekeeping experience.
The Hive specializes in fresh, seasonal, farm to fork dishes, that will make your mouth water just thinking about it. This unique restaurant based on honey and innovation, has a full menu and bar, a creamery, coffees and teas, delicious pastries, honey, florals and merch.
Located in Orland this is definitely a must try spot this season.

3. Raw Bar
Located in beautiful Downtown Chico on the corner of Broadway and West 4th Street, Rawbar is a unique restaurant that offers a modern and traditional twist on Asian cuisine.
The unconventional and industrial environment creates an artistic yet fun space, and if you need more convincing the restaurant has been awarded the “Best of Chico” award for the past ten consecutive years.
Treat yourself to a night out on the town. Enjoy fresh sushi and a bottle of hot sake as you take in a crisp Fall night under the twinkly lights on the Raw Bar patio.

4. Live Life Juice

Keeping their wood-fired pizzas and quality cuisines faithful to their Italian roots.
Featured on the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Good Food 100 List, Grana is a locally owned and operated restaurant that replicates a night spent in the heart of Italy.
Their seasonal menu utilizes organic and sustainable products from our local farmers that are paired with imported fine cheeses, charcuteries, wines, and fine goods. Each ingredient compliments the other to create a truly rememberable meal.
